Ideagen Internal Audit and Risk Management v2.4.0 release notes
Who is this article for?
Administrators interested in learning more about solution updates.
No special access or permissions are required.
Version 2.4.0 updates the User Interface summary cards for easier viewing and action on assessments, expands bulk editing (including Actions) across registers, and adds clear trend indicators for risks and controls. Importing content from your universe or library into audits is smoother with a consistent configuration. Office Online documents have a clearer audit trail, saved queries work more reliably for large extracts, and various fixes enhance audits, registers, timesheets, and workflows.
This article outlines the full changes, enhancements, and fixes that have been implemented in this release, available from 12 May 2026.
1. Features
Risk UI
The Risk area introduces a more modern summary layout, a clearer way to arrange summary insights, and a dedicated space for current assessments so teams can review and update assessments without hunting through the page.
Assurance-related steps are easier to follow, and tab navigation aligns with patterns used elsewhere, including where risk summary layouts appear on related audit screens.
Registers and bulk editing
Bulk editing is available more broadly, including on actions and across supported main and child registers, so teams can apply consistent updates where permissions allow.
Bulk command menus are tidied for quicker scanning, and where bulk edits could create duplicate titles (for example on principal risks), messaging is clearer and easier to resolve.
Trends on risks and controls
Registers and views can show an assessment score trend indicator where your organisation configures it, giving reviewers at-a-glance direction alongside current scores.
Bringing Universe and Library content to audits
When you use workflows to bring items from your Universe or Library into an audit, the configuration experience is aligned between entry points.
Filtering inside these flows works reliably, prompts when expanding scope read clearly, and object naming reads consistently throughout, so teams spend less time translating what the screen is asking for.
Documents and collaboration
Office Online can be reflected more clearly in audit trail history when versions are created and when documents are locked or unlocked for editing, supporting shared review without losing traceability.
