Ideagen Audit Quality v2.1.0 release notes
Who is this article for?
Administrators interested in learning more about solution updates.
No special access or permissions are required.
Version 2.1.0 focuses on streamlining your document workflows, improving efficiency when managing your quality assessments, and enhancing keyboard accessibility for system navigation.
This article outlines the full changes, enhancements, and fixes that have been implemented in this release, available from 26 February 2026.
1. Features
In-browser document editing
This release introduces integrated document editing that allows you to work with Microsoft Office documents directly within the application. You can now view, edit, and collaborate on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint attachments without leaving your browser.
Key capabilities include:
- real-time document preview with full version history
- automatic version control that creates new versions with every edit
- intelligent file locking that prevents conflicts when multiple users need to work with the same document
When a colleague is editing a document, you'll see a clear notification banner so you know exactly what's happening with your files.
For completed assessment objects, the system automatically identifies which document version was current at the time of completion, ensuring you always have a clear audit trail of your working papers. The version history displays this information clearly, with subsequent versions (if the document is shared across objects) shown but clearly distinguished.
Keyboard navigation shortcuts
We’ve implemented a comprehensive set of keyboard shortcuts to help you navigate the application more efficiently. Power users can now move through the interface without reaching for the mouse, improving productivity and accessibility.
Available shortcuts include quick access to the:
- navigation menu
- global search
- user menu
- tabs
- register rows
All shortcuts use Alt key combinations to avoid conflicts with your browser. You can view the complete list of shortcuts from a new option in the user dropdown menu.
Enhanced location and service line management
Administrators can now view all users linked to a location or service line directly from the record page via a new Users tab. This eliminates the need to navigate to individual group records to understand access permissions, saving valuable time during user administration tasks.
The help text for the Restrict Locations system setting has been clarified to better explain that enabling this setting restricts users to viewing only the locations they are linked to.
Streamlined navigation for business users
The navigation bar for business users has been optimised to make better use of available space.
When fewer menu options are present, items now fill the main navigation bar appropriately rather than being hidden in the More menu unnecessarily.
Improved assessment report creation
When creating assessment reports, the system now validates the title field to prevent the use of dots or full stops, which could cause issues with file handling. Clear error messaging guides you to use only permitted characters.
Permission clarity
The tooltips for Edit Object Fields permissions have been updated to clearly explain that this permission also allows users to link child objects from the universe, providing better clarity around permission capabilities.
Workflow performance
To improve performance of some workflows, the architecture of them is being simplified. Some workflows will transition to this new architecture in this release and others will wait for the following release.
The workflows which have been improved this release will ask for the owner of the object to be defined in the first step of the creation. The owner is a critical piece of any creation and therefore now has its own step in the Create workflow. Those that will be coming the following release will assume the owner is the user creating the object (this can be changed after creation).
Workflows which now have Owner as its own step:
- Create Remedial Action (Create new, Get from library)
- Create Incident Report
- Create Incident (Create new, Get from library)
- Create Quality Objective (Create new, Get from library)
Workflows that do not have Owner as its own step and instead the creator becomes the owner:
- Create Assessment Plan
- Create Assessment
- Create Quality Risk (Create new only, can set owner in Get from library)
- Create Quality Response (Create new only, can set owner in Get from library)
- Create Test (Create new only, can set owner in Get from library)
2. Fixes
We’ve resolved numerous issues in the user interface:
- Corrected a double line display issue in the assessment type key dates menu.
- Added the missing Description field to the questionnaire header view.
- Fixed Date/Time filter modals that would fail to open on smaller screens.
- Corrected the Ideagen Hub link in the application menu to point to the correct destination.
