Troubleshooting drag and drop issues with emails and attachments in New Outlook

No special access or permissions are required.
Users of the New Outlook experience report that dragging and dropping of emails and files into the application's attachments panel does not work. This is a known issue with Outlook, and is not a problem with Ideagen software.
This article describes the issue and offers a workaround.
1. Issue
Users report that with New Outlook enabled, dragging emails or attachments into other applications fails. Although the target app shows it is ready to receive the file, nothing happens when released.
2. Workaround
Moderators at Microsoft Learn state that dragging and dropping messages and attachments is currently not supported in New Outlook, and recommend switching to Classic mode in order to regain this functionality.
To do this, toggle the switch and accept the prompt to switch back to classic Outlook.
