Internal Audit and Risk Management v1.9 release notes

This article outlines the product changes, enhancements, and fixes that have been implemented in the v1.9 release, available from 31 March 2025.
1. Features
General
Custom fields
Large text fields now support up to 4,000 characters to accommodate detailed descriptions.
Watcher feature
The ability to become a Watcher of an object was introduced in an earlier release, but v1.9 allows the ability to remove Watchers, providing additional notification control.
UI/UX improvements
We introduced usability enhancements, including:
- Audit pages now display the audit name in breadcrumbs for better navigation and context.
- Only the original creator of a note can edit it, improving clarity and accountability.
- Avatar sizes have been standardised across all datagrids for improved visual consistency.
Audits
Audit rollforward
Ideagen Internal Audit now offers the ability to rollforward an existing Audit to create a new Audit in a Draft state.
The rollforward includes Owner/Team validation and seamless methodology/execution roll-in. There are also traceable links between original and rolledforward Audits.
Audit retention
In order to comply with record retention requirements, Audit Types now support configurable retention periods.
When an Audit is marked as Completed, the retention period begins, with thee date displayed in the Audit record. As that date approaches, the user is notified so that deletion can take place.
Questionnaire and form functionality
Questionnaire builder was created with the ability to send, copy, and manage questionnaires and responses. These can be created as part of an Audit or for a Location/Process.
Users can download response data, view recipient statuses, and build forms with new question types and response tracking.
Review points
This release includes the ability to create, edit, assign, and address review points. These are at the object level, with a full workflow, including notifications and audit trail integration.
Notes
Tagging and notifications
Users can now tag colleagues in notes, triggering both email and in-product notifications.
Clear messaging is included along with direct links to mentioned records.
Notifications
Email notifications customisation
Emails can now be customised.
Administrators can configure, preview, and validate content within structured templates.
Timesheets
Feature enhancements
Timesheets were introduced in an earlier release, but v1.9 has improved the experience, allowing users to view archived Timesheets, greying out non-working days on a timesheet, and incorporating validations to identify problematic dates due to failed time entry.
2. Fixes
There are a number of bug fixes included in this release:
- Mandatory fields - Resolved issue where mandatory title fields could be bypassed using whitespace input.
- Reordering with single Risk - Disabled reordering functionality in Risk Registers when only one item exists.
