This article outlines the product changes, enhancements, and fixes that have been implemented in the v1.8 release, available from 5 February 2025.

1. Features

General

Watcher feature

We have added the ability for users to become watchers of an object they are not directly responsible for, but have the permissions to see, so that the user receives notifications on those records.

UI/UX improvements

We introduced usability enhancements, including:

• improved status and error messaging throughout the software to ensure clear, user-friendly notifications for success and failure cases
• standardised button alignment throughout the system for consistency and usability

Audits

Risk-based Audit Planning

Ideagen Internal Audit now offers the ability to create an Audit Plan based on Risk assessments.

Audit Departments are able to view Risks (and related assessments) from their Audit Universe. A selection of these Risks can then form a new Audit Plan or be added to an existing Audit Plan. They can then be grouped into Audits.

When the Audit is ready to be performed, the Risks have already been scoped into the Audit. When the status of the Audit is set to Open, the Planned Risks section will be prepopulated using that information.

Notifications

In-product

We have added the ability to mark all notifications as read within the notification bell in the top navigation bar, enabling the user to have better control over their alerts.

2. Fixes

There are a number of bug fixes included in this release:

• Register sorting error - Fixed an issue where sorting data on Register pages would result in an error page.
• Notifications toggle error - Resolved an issue where toggling off 'All Instances' on the Notifications page caused an error.
• ORCT Edit permissions issue - Addressed a permissions issue preventing users from adding existing RCT or findings to ORCTs.
• Control score aggregation for Risks - Corrected an issue where control scores were not averaged correctly given a specific filter.
