This article outlines the product changes, enhancements, and fixes that have been implemented in the v1.7 release, available from 18 December 2024.

1. Features

General

Mandatory fields validation modal

We have replaced snack bar notifications with detailed modals listing missing fields or actions required to proceed.

UI/UX improvements

Display of long-named mandatory fields has been improved through truncation and hover-over tooltips.

We have also restructured the Notifications page to improve visibility.

Notifications

In-product

We have added a notification bell in the top navigation bar for instant access to recent alerts.

When the bell is selected, users can filter notifications by their Unread status. These notifications are clickable, linking directly to relevant areas in the system.

Tabular Reporting

Queries

There is a new module for Reporting. The first iteration of this is for queries.

Queries allow users to pull desired data into tables that can be customised and exported, assisting in analysis and reporting. These queries are stored for future reuse.

Timesheets

Creation and workflow

This release introduces timesheets to Ideagen Internal Audit. System Administrators can set up Timesheet Periods for any period of time (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, etc.).

Users are then able to add time to their timesheet for tasks that have been created. They can also pull tasks from previous timesheets.

Managers are able to review, approve, or reject team timesheets with detailed overviews and filtering options.

2. Fixes

There are a number of bug fixes included in this release:

• Audit Trail sorting - Fixed issue where sorting required additional actions like 'Load more'. Improved responsiveness and data display.
• User search optimisation -  Enhanced search to trim trailing whitespaces, ensuring accurate user lookups.
• Attachment and link filters - Corrected behaviour where filters on attachments and links failed to produce expected results.
• Heat map filters - Resolved API rejection issues when updating filters in heat maps.
• Owner refresh in Audit Team pages - Removed the requirement for a page refresh to update Team Owners.
