This article outlines the product changes and enhancements that have been implemented in the v1.5 release, available from 23 October 2024.
1. Features
Universe
Descriptions
Enhancements have been made to the descriptions of the Locations and Processes Universes to ensure users can differentiate between geographical locations and organisational areas.
Locations now clearly refer to 'Risk Entities and Auditable areas within your organisation' (geographical locations, departments, systems, etc.), whereas 'Processes describes Processes performed within the organisation'.
Movement of Locations and Processes
Enhancement has been made to allow System Administrators (or empowered users) to move Locations and Processes within the Universe, ensuring that organisational models are always current.
Locations and Processes can now be easily relocated using the Locations/Processes register, or the Sub-Locations/Processes data grid.
Empowered users need the universe:edit-location and universe:edit-process permissions to use this functionality.
Audits
Audit Planning
Add or create Audits directly to an Audit Plan from the Audit Planning page, without navigating to the Audit Page.
Users can either create a new Audit, which will be added straight to the Audit Plan with a Draft status, or select an existing Audit from a filtered list of Audits not currently linked to any Plans.
If an Audit is linked to another Plan, it must be unlinked before it can be added to a new Plan.
Cloning Audit Types
Users can now clone existing Audit Types, making it easier to reuse key elements, such as Key Dates, Methodology, Review Length, etc.
Cloned Audit Types will default to Draft status, and users will need to provide a unique title for each clone.
This streamlined process saves time and effort by eliminating repetitive data entry.
Custom Fields
Multi-select
System Administrators can now designate custom fields to select more than one option when creating list-type custom fields.
This allows for specifying single or multi-select options.
Mandatory
System Administrators can now designate custom fields as mandatory, indicated by a red asterisk, ensuring that critical information is always captured. Users must provide input into these fields before submitting a form or saving a record.
If a user tries to proceed without completing a mandatory field, the system will prompt them to fill out the required field with a clearly indicated error message.
This functionality applies to string and date fields.
Currency
System Administrators can now create custom fields that accept currency data, allowing users to store monetary values with clear identification of the associated currency.
They can set a default currency and define a short list of available currencies for selection. The field ensures values are rounded to two decimal places, and displays the currency symbol or code alongside the monetary value.
The stored data clearly retains the chosen format, enhancing clarity and precision in handling financial information.
Preview
System Administrators can now preview how a custom field will appear prior to making the field active.
This functionality is available in the Options menu when creating a custom field.
Notifications
Information tags
A new tag has been added next to each notification in the list to enhance user comprehension and provide additional context to the notification received.
When users hover over this tag, a tooltip will appear with a detailed description of the notification's purpose and implications.
This feature aims to reduce any confusion, and ensure users are fully informed about the notifications they receive.
