Managing a Control

Risk module access is required.
Modifying the details of a Control is simple and can be done even once the Control is active on the system. You can also archive or remove Controls to help you keep on top of your data health. This article shows you how to update, archive, or delete Controls from your system.

To edit a Control:
- Access the Risk menu.
- Select Controls.
- Open the Control you want to edit.
- Click Options.
- Choose Edit.
- Change the Title, Dates, and Description (in Details tab).
- Change Location (in Location tab).
- Assign different Process (in Process tab).
- Modify responsibility assignment (in Team tab).
- Click Save.
To delete a Control, choose the Delete option. You will be asked to confirm that you want to delete the record.
To archive a Control, choose the Set as Archived option.
Alternatively, you can take either action from the Actions menu to the right of the Control record.
Not seeing the "Set as Archived" option?
This option will only be available once a Control has been activated.
Your archived Control will still appear on the list when you filter your records with the Archived status.
