Creating a Control

Risk module access is required.
Controls are the main tool for identifying potential adverse consequences of Risks and how to take action to prevent them. This article walks you through the steps to create a Control.

To create a Control:
- Open the Risk menu.
- Select Controls.
- Click Create Control.
- Select Create new.
We will cover the Get from library option later.
- Enter an Objective name in the Title field.
- Select an Objective Type.
- Set the Assessment Date and Assurance Date.
- Enter a Description for the Control.
- Click Next.
- Select a Location.
This is the site the Control is applicable to.
- Click Next.
- Choose an optional Process.
This is the Process the Control will be assessed as a part of.
- Click Next.
- Assign stakeholder Roles.
- Click Save.
Alternatively, you can create an Objective from an existing template.
To create a Control from a template:
- Click Create Control.
- Select Get from library.
- Choose a Template.
- Click Next.
- Complete Location and Owner details as required.
- Click Save.
Your Control should now appear in the Controls list.
