An audit is an independent examination of financial information, systems, operations, or processes of an organisation to provide assurance on their accuracy, reliability, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
This article outlines the steps to create a new audit and is split into the following sections:
1. Creating an audit

Click "Create Audit"
- Set the confidentiality of the audit. Typically speaking, confidential audits include information that should be treated with utmost secrecy and not disclosed to unauthorised individuals or entities.
- Enter audit information, such as type and title.

- An audit title is used to identify the audit and should be clear and concise.
- An audit type will categorise the audit.

- Click "Next"
- Review the team and then save the audit. You can click "Back" to change any of the audit details.
- Click "Click here to view"
- Click "Scope". An audit scope refers to the boundaries or limits set for an audit. It defines what the audit will cover, including the specific areas, processes, functions, or time periods that will be examined. Open the scope section.
- Click "Set scope".
- Set the scope area.
- Select any scope items. Remember, you can assign more than one scope item to an audit.
- Click "Save"
